THE $WINNIE STORY

The frog is from 2005. The dog is from 2010. The bear is from 1926.

Milne spelled him Winnie-the-Pooh, with the hyphens. Disney dropped them in 1961, along with everything else that made him strange. $WINNIE is the hyphenated one.

Every meme animal got a coin. $WINNIE isn't the next one. It's the first one. October 14, 2026 is one hundred years, to the day, since A. A. Milne published Winnie-the-Pooh. The oldest character in the game, a century before any of them, and the only one walking out of copyright while you watch.

Other Winnie tokens launched, flipped, and died. $WINNIE is built to hold. No company. No VCs. No insiders. Anonymous devs, declared wallets, one philosophy: the honey is for keeping. This is the bear's coin. The one that stays.

LORE FOOTNOTE. ALL TRUE, ALL CHECKABLE:

The originals (Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo) still sit together in the New York Public Library. "Pooh" was the name of a swan. And the Hundred Acre Wood is a real forest in Sussex. None of this is ours: it belongs to everyone. That's the point.

HOW TO BUY $WINNIE

  1. Get a wallet. Download Phantom (phantom.com) on your phone or browser. It takes two minutes and it's free.
  2. Get some SOL. Buy Solana inside Phantom, or on any exchange and send it to your wallet.
  3. Wait for October 14. $WINNIE launches on pump.fun. The contract address appears HERE and on @winniefrom1926 at launch. Paste it, swap, done. Not before, not anywhere else.

DRAW THE BEAR

$WINNIE has no face yet. On purpose. Every other bear coin runs a picture somebody else drew a century ago. Ours gets drawn from scratch, by whoever shows up, and it belongs to the wood.

So we're drawing him ourselves. Pen, marker, badly. The best bear becomes the official $WINNIE: profile picture, this site, everything.

The winning artist gets 1% of the supply. Ten million $WINNIE, carved straight out of the 5% the team buys at launch, sent from the declared wallet with the transaction published. Not from fees, not someday, not if things go well. In return, the winning drawing becomes the project's to use, forever.

Deadline: 21 September. After that the bear becomes the profile picture, the site, all of it, and there are three weeks left to put him everywhere before launch.

THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD

Most people met Winnie the Pooh before they could read. He was on the shelf, on the pajamas, in the voice someone used at bedtime. That's the audience. Not a niche, a childhood. $WINNIE gives the internet's oldest shared memory a coin of its own.

Here the community actually drives. No company, no VCs, no boardroom roadmap. Just anonymous devs with declared wallets, and whoever shows up. The bear gets drawn by whoever shows up, the lore gets written by whoever shows up, and the best of it becomes official. The wood has two clearings: @winniefrom1926 for the noise, r/winniethecoin for the campfire: art, lore, and the long talks.

And it's a coin you hold. The wood remembers who stays: seniority beats size here, and the longest holders become the elders of the wood. Nothing pays you to stay. Staying is the culture.

THE RULES

  • Launch date and time announced in advance. No stealth, no surprises.
  • No presale, no private round, no insiders, no allocation at all. The team buys its 5% on the open curve, at the same price as everyone else, from a wallet published here two days before launch.
  • Half of every creator fee goes to the treasury, which buys $WINNIE off the market and burns it, Solscan link posted every time. The rest funds the wood: the artist, the mods, whoever builds. Never for holding, never for a shill.
  • Nobody signs the coin, but every project wallet is declared before launch. Every claim comes with a link. Check, don't trust.
  • No transfer tax, ever. No mechanic that pays you for holding: the honey is for keeping, not for farming.
  • Full audit of our own launch within 24 hours. Every early wallet, published. Even if it looks bad.

$WINNIE FAQ

When launch?

October 14, 2026. One hundred years to the day since the book was published. Exact time announced in advance on @winniefrom1926. No stealth launch: if you launch quietly, the only buyers in the first minutes are bots.

Is this affiliated with Disney?

No. $WINNIE is an independent project based on the original 1926 Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne. No red shirt, no film characters, no affiliation with or endorsement by the rights holders of any later version.

Why is there no bear on the site?

Because $WINNIE doesn't wear anyone else's face. The community is drawing the official bear right now, pen, marker, badly, and the winner becomes the face of the coin, forever. You can be the one who draws him.

Who's behind this?

The devs are anonymous. The wallets aren't. Nobody signs the coin, and nobody gets a free bag either: there is no allocation, no presale, no reserve. The team buys 5% on the open curve at launch, at the same price as everyone else, from a wallet published here days in advance. From there, half of every creator fee is burned with the Solscan link posted each time, and the rest funds the wood: the artist who draws the bear, the mods who keep the place alive, whoever builds a tool. Never for holding, never for a shill. Plus a full audit of the launch within 24 hours, published once, never edited, never deleted, with its hash recorded on-chain. Don't trust anyone. Check everything.
